This is a pared down list of county code TLD’s that allow foreign registrations.
This is in contrast to country specific TLD’s that place restrictions on who can register them such as citizenship in that country (ex: .eu – must have official presence in the European Union to register)

Great resource overall!
I wanted to grab ni.ck but it looks like you can only register .co.ck. I wonder if this is the case with several of the others on the list.
Granted the TLD .co.ck would be nice for Adult Domains I don’t think I would like it for personal use, not quite what I expected.
Nick, that’s hillarious. I didn’t even realize it was .co.ck
Of course, you can’t register all these TLDs at popular hosts like GoDaddy. So for all my extracommon tld registrations, I typically go through http://www.domainbank.com/
They have a really nice domain search too, that can search all available tlds for your desired name.
Here’s some interesting questions.
Does anybody know which of these TLD’s is the cheapest and/or most expensive? How about which has the most or least unregistered domain names?

Heh… buy all you can think of and sell, sell, sell :)
Great resource and a very well spent 20 min on this blog in general, thanks.
Thanks, Zeljko – I appreciate your kind words.

Name.com had a nice offer for .in, just $3.99
Order 6+ .info domains on GoDaddy and get each one for $0.99
There were discounts on others too (when ordering 6 or more)

Thanks for the great resource. Helps with creating custom websites for my clients.
Is it really safe to register a TLD for a foreign country? Couldn’t some future leader nationalize them?
good text thank you
